A man, Abdulkareem Yusuf and his wife Maryam, have both bagged Master’s degrees from Lagos State University on the same day.
Yusuf shared the news in a post on X.com on Thursday along with his and his wife’s pictures in their convocation gowns during the 27th convocation of LASU.
Yusuf, who studied Chemical and Polymer Engineering graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 5.0.
Sharing their joy, Yusuf wrote, “I bagged MSc. Chemical and Polymer Engineering with a perfect CGPA of 5.00 at the 27th LASU Convocation (2024).
“It’s a combined celebration as my wife #OkeowoMaryam also bagged her Master of Laws. Same day, Same school #LASUOfficial #jidesanwoolu #MScCGPA of 5.00 We are LASU; We are Great.”
Congratulating them on the feat via X, the university described the couple as Mrs and Mrs LASU Convocation.
The institution wrote, “Couples goal. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. LASU Convocation.”
The institution’s 27th convocation was held from May 30 to June 6.
During the ceremony, 8,670 students graduated in the first-degree category, 3,029 were in the second-class upper division, 715 were second-class lower division, 228 with a pass and 195 with non-classified degrees.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, rewarded the overall best-graduating student, Olaniyi Olawale, with N10m.
