Blackburn Rovers head coach John Eustace has been fined £2 500 ($3 124) by the Football Association for misconduct after being sent off during a goalless draw against Coventry in April.
Eustace has avoided a touchline ban but an independent regulatory commission imposed a fine after he was involved in a touchline confrontation with Coventry midfielder Kasey Palmer at a throw-in during the second-tier English Championship match.
Palmer was shown a yellow card for his part in the second-half incident while Eustace was dismissed.
A Blackburn statement said: “The Rovers head coach accepted that he acted in an improper manner around the 50th minute and an independent regulatory commission imposed the fine following a subsequent personal hearing.
“No sporting sanctions have been imposed.”
Blackburn finished 19th in the table, three points above the relegation zone.
